Insulin is the hormone made by the pancreas which helps us absorb nutrients from our food. Insulin helps take sugar out our bloodstream and into the organs, like the muscle cells and liver, to then be used as energy.


The more sensitive your cells are to insulin, the better they respond to the presence in your blood. Your body will then produce less insulin, for the cells to absorb glucose (energy). Which helps to stay lean and healthy.
